2. I wake my two of my four children up at 5:45am
3. Even though we wake up that early, I still rush...a little
4. When it's time to leave, I say, " Lobby!"
5. My two girls and I walk out of the apartment at 6:30am
6. We walk to the bus stop every single day!
7. Yeap, coffee is a must...from Piedmont Cafe...double espresso over ice
8. Hanah and Asantewa always ask for water by the time we get there.
9. Sometimes I go over to Longs Drugs to get school supplies at 7:00am
10. After getting my coffee, my daughters and I are speed walking to catch the 57!
11. I have my daughters say, "Good Morning!" each and every time they get on the bus.
12. They must say, "Have a nice day!" before getting off the bus.
13. When we are waiting for the 1, both of my daughters terrorize each other...well they bug each other.
14. I hear some very interesting and bizarre cell phone conversation on the bus.
15. Crunching on ice, cause I'm anemic, I always read a spiritual book, a how to writing book, or a fictional read that I was inspired to buy.
16.8:00 the girls and I arrive at Mama Earth Home School Academy...the house I grew up in!
17. My mama, Mama Lil, still lives there.....she is a whopping 85 year old!.....don't let the age fool ya'
18. My 85 year old mama has more energy than PG&E!
19. In the same house, my mother ran a daycare for 30 years!
20. Between 8:15 and 9:00, I wait for the arrival of my other 7 students!
21. While I am waiting, I write to reflect on them, the day, this process of home schooling.
22. 8:45, a zillion books get put on the table for "Free Choice" Reading
23. 9:00 all the students sit around the table and Free Read.
24. At 9:15, we do circle and meditation.
25. I really encourage the students to tap into their own peace, creativity, intelligence, discipline, & love and use it throughout the day!
